ESCWA offers a framework for policy formulation and alignment, serves as a platform for meetings and coordination, and acts as a hub for expertise and knowledge, as well as an information repository. It coordinates its activities with the main departments and offices at United Nations headquarters, along with specialized agencies, international organizations, and regional bodies, including the Arab League and its affiliates, and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
