The Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND)

The Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) is a regional organization established in 1980 through the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may he rest in peace, and with the support of the Gulf Cooperation Council leaders. AGFUND’s strategy targets the root causes of human development issues and aims to serve all segments of society equitably. The organization plays a key role in advancing the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 by funding projects that align with its criteria and through the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development, which supports and nurtures AGFUND-endorsed projects. AGFUND focuses on several key areas: early childhood development, women's empowerment, civil society development, open education for youth, and financial inclusion.
