SDRPY Signs Agreement with Yemeni Health Ministry
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) at its headquarters in Riyadh has signed an agreement with the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population. The agreement aims to establish a fund to support specialized healthcare facilities in Yemen, build the ministry's institutional capacity, and boost cooperation between these facilities and their counterparts in the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed by the Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qassem Mohammed Bahaibah, Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and SDRPY Supervisor General Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber.
The agreement aims to outline a shared vision for ensuring the sustainable operation of specialized health facilities in Yemen and to facilitate the exchange of studies, information, and plans related to developing the country's health sector. It also includes cooperation on projects and programs to train and empower Yemen's medical, technical, and administrative personnel. The fund is expected to receive support from Yemen's public and private sectors, as well as international organizations, institutions, and nonprofit entities.
Through 264 projects and initiatives, SDRPY continues to support critical sectors across various Yemeni governorates, including education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, institutional capacity building, and broader development programs.
