مؤسسة الوليد بن طلال الخيرية (Alwaleed Philanthropies)
The foundation was established to realize the philanthropic vision of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Initially known as the Kingdom Foundation when it was created in 1996, its purpose was to coordinate Saudi charitable activities that had been conducted abroad since 1980. In 2009, it was renamed Alwaleed Philanthropies (formerly "The Al Waleed bin Talal Foundation"). Today, this organization comprises three institutions and several charitable entities dedicated to supporting humanitarian projects in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and around the world.
The foundation's work is concentrated in four main areas: interfaith dialogue, community development, disaster recovery, and women's empowerment. In addition to these core focus areas, it funds various special projects tailored to meet specific community needs. Operating under the principle of "boundless commitment," the foundation adheres to global best practices in grant allocation and project support. While consistently addressing humanitarian issues, it employs a strategic approach to effectively distribute its resources across these key areas.
