The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) continues its construction works at Al-Jazira, Al-Rawda, and Al-Minaa stadiums in Aden.

These projects aim to support Yemeni youths, who are key enablers of sustainable development, by fostering their abilities and potential, encouraging sports across the country, and improving the efficiency and quality of sports facilities and infrastructure, while also honing athletes’ skills.

SDRPY has also launched various projects and initiatives to support youth and sports, including the rehabilitation of the Ali Asad Muthanna Sports Hall in Aden and the development of sports fields at model schools, which SDRPY has established in more than 30 schools across different Yemeni governorates. The program has also launched sports initiatives, such as celebrating the Yemeni U-16 national team after their victory in the West Asian Football Championship, among other activities and initiatives.

SDRPY sponsored the Marib Football Championship, which included 14 clubs and 588 young participants, the Hadhramaut Ramadan Basketball Championship, with 17 clubs and 289 young basketball players, and a volleyball tournament with ten clubs and 140 young volleyball players. These initiatives aim to support youth and athletes, as sports serve as a vital outlet for youth and play an essential role in achieving sustainable development.

SDRPY has implemented 263 development projects and initiatives serving Yemenis in essential sectors, including in education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, capacity building and government.
