Yemeni Information Minister: Saudi Arabia Represents Yemen’s Primary Supporter in Achieving Sustainable Development, Empowering Yemenis
Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani, accompanied by Al-Mahrah Governor Muhammad Ali Yasser, have visited the kidney dialysis center in Al-Mahrah Province, established by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) with generous support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
During the visit, the minister reviewed the center's operations, including the comprehensive medical care it provides to patients with kidney failure. He praised KSrelief’s role in delivering daily dialysis services to both acute and chronic kidney failure patients using modern and advanced equipment that meets the latest standards.
Al-Eryani commended KSrelief’s contributions to funding the kidney dialysis center's operations and offering free medical services to kidney patients. Since its inception in early 2020, the center has conducted 20,571 dialysis sessions, 44,874 tests, 24,966 prescriptions, and 90,000 services benefiting residents of the province and those arriving from all parts of Yemen.
He expressed profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their noble humanitarian efforts toward the Yemeni people. The minister stressed that these sincere efforts in implementing health, development, service, and relief projects are a living example of Arab and Islamic solidarity and enhance the resilience of the Yemeni people amid challenging circumstances.
Al-Eryani noted that the establishment of health centers, such as the kidney dialysis center, reflects the Kingdom’s genuine humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis, enhance their capabilities, and instill hope for a better future. He stated that the Kingdom has proven to be Yemen’s primary supporter, not only in political, economic, and humanitarian challenges, but also in achieving sustainable development, which bolsters the Yemeni community’s ability to build and progress.
Al-Eryani reiterated that the Yemeni people will never forget this generous support, which comes at a critical historical moment, and will remain forever grateful for this noble assistance, symbolizing the strong and enduring ties between the two neighboring nations.
